The ACCIS® Hip System was designed to reduce wear in hip replacement arthroplasty. The system 
consists of acetabular and femoral head components for total hip replacement and surface replacement of the hip. All components are made from Cobalt-Chrome-Molybdenum alloy.
The articulating surfaces of the metal components are coated with a Titanium-Niobium Nitride ceramic coating
Although the ACCIS acetabular components are intended for cementless application, as seen here on the right hand side for surface replacement application, .there is also a cemented version available if the primary press fit fixation cannot be achieved. It also has found its place for problematic revision cases where recurrent dislocation is a major complication. The large head provide a beter resistance against luxation. n
